Track affiliate events in GA4 with client and server-side integration
Forward affiliate events to Google Analytics 4 so you can analyze affiliate traffic alongside your existing marketing data. Icodrip sends events server-side via the GA4 Measurement Protocol and optionally pushes client-side events through the dataLayer. See affiliate clicks, conversions, and revenue in your GA4 reports, build custom audiences of affiliate-referred users, and attribute revenue in your existing GA4 funnels.
Events are sent server-side via GA4 Measurement Protocol for reliable tracking that is not blocked by ad blockers or browser extensions.
Optionally push affiliate events to the dataLayer for client-side GTM triggers, custom dimensions, and audience building.
Affiliate revenue appears in GA4 monetization reports. Compare affiliate channel performance against paid ads, organic, and direct traffic.
Build GA4 audiences of users referred by affiliates. Retarget them with ads or analyze their behavior vs. other acquisition channels.
In Google Analytics, go to Admin > Data Streams > your web stream and copy the Measurement ID (G-XXXXXXX).
Under the same stream, go to Measurement Protocol API Secrets and create a new secret. Copy it to Icodrip alongside your Measurement ID.
Go to Settings > Integrations > Analytics. In Icodrip Settings, you'll see two Google Analytics cards — one for client-side tracking (snippet) and one for server-side event forwarding. Configure one or both. Paste your Measurement ID and API secret, then select which events to forward.
Open GA4 Realtime reports and trigger a test event in Icodrip. Confirm the event appears in GA4 with the correct parameters.
Setup takes less than 60 seconds.
