Set up automated payout schedules so your affiliates get paid on time without manual intervention.
Auto payouts eliminate the need to manually process affiliate payments. Once configured, Icodrip automatically calculates each affiliate's earned commissions, verifies they have met the minimum threshold, and initiates the payout via Stripe Connect.
Auto payouts run on a schedule you define — weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. On the scheduled date, Icodrip processes all eligible payouts in a batch. Each affiliate receives a single payout for all their accumulated commissions since the last payout.
The system only pays out confirmed commissions. Conversions that are still in the pending period (waiting for the refund window to close) are not included. This protects you from paying commissions on transactions that may be refunded.
Navigate to Settings > Payouts in your Icodrip dashboard. Toggle the "Enable Auto Payouts" switch to activate automatic payouts. You will be prompted to configure the schedule and minimum threshold.
Before enabling auto payouts, ensure that your Stripe account has sufficient balance to cover the expected payout amounts. Icodrip checks your balance before initiating payouts and skips the batch if funds are insufficient, notifying you via email.
You can disable auto payouts at any time without affecting pending payouts. Any payout that has already been initiated will complete normally. Only future scheduled payouts will be paused.
Icodrip offers three payout frequencies. Weekly payouts run every Monday, processing commissions earned through the previous Sunday. Bi-weekly payouts run every other Monday. Monthly payouts run on the first business day of each month, processing the previous month's commissions.
Choose a frequency that balances affiliate satisfaction with your cash flow needs. Most SaaS companies start with monthly payouts and switch to bi-weekly or weekly as their program grows and they have more predictable revenue.
The payout schedule is displayed to affiliates in their portal so they know when to expect payments. Changing the schedule takes effect from the next payout date — any currently scheduled payout is not affected.
Set a minimum payout threshold to avoid processing very small payments. For example, with a $50 minimum, affiliates must accumulate at least $50 in confirmed commissions before a payout is triggered.
Commissions below the threshold carry over to the next payout period. The affiliate's portal shows their accumulated balance and how much more they need to reach the threshold. This transparency prevents confusion about why a payout was not received.
See our dedicated guide on "Minimum Payout Thresholds" for detailed best practices on setting thresholds.
The Payouts dashboard shows a complete history of all automated and manual payouts. Each entry shows the affiliate name, payout amount, processing date, and status (queued, processing, paid, or failed).
Icodrip sends you a summary email after each auto payout batch completes. The email includes the total amount paid, the number of affiliates paid, and any payouts that failed. Failed payouts are typically due to disconnected Stripe accounts or insufficient balance.
For financial reconciliation, you can export your payout history as a CSV file. The export includes all payout details along with the corresponding Stripe transfer IDs for cross-referencing with your Stripe dashboard.
